I believe that is perfectly legal.
A group would be fine = except it does not provide the same functionality as a real profile.
If need be - we would be better off creating an actual application that did what we wanted - but having a profil was a great solution for us.

Have you tried a different approach? For instance, as an editor, shouldn't your opinions BE the editorial? Why not a personal account reflecting your editorial opinions? How about setting up an application (follow the "Developers" link at the bottom of any Facebook page) to display content from the Nashua Telegraph and allow feedback or share stories, etc?
